Timothy has served in nearly every role of a community bank over the past 28 years. As President and Chief Executive Officer of WCF, as well as a member of bank’s Board of Directors, he is responsible for the daily activities and financial performance of the bank and shareholder relations, while working closely with and managing members of the executive team. His secret to success: “I pride myself on frequently visiting with all members of the bank staff. My approach is to hire the best bankers possible and ensure they have the relevant training, tools, and financial products to perform their jobs at a high level, which allows them to flourish and provide our customers with excellent service without being micromanaged.” Timothy is a graduate of Simpson College and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His hobbies include travel (he has been to every U.S. state other than Alaska and many foreign countries) and following University of Iowa athletics (Go, Hawks!).
A wearer of many hats at WCF, Todd oversees retail operations, human resources, the bank’s IT network, information security and facilities. His motto is to treat everyone as an individual and teach others whenever possible. In addition to earning dual degrees from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, he also holds many professional designations, including National Check Professional (NCP), Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP). He began his career as a teller in 1994 and has worked for six financial organizations over the years, nearly all community banks. A Minnesota native, he describes himself as a “longsuffering MN sports fan.” The father of two young-adult daughters, Todd enjoys a variety of hobbies, such as fishing, camping, hunting and photography. He is also a trained Skywarn Storm Spotter and licensed HAM radio operator.
Lisa Johnson joined WCF in 2021 as our Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She has multiple years of banking experience in the areas of operations, trust, audit, asset liability management and finance. She is driven by success and is dedicated to the bank, our employees, and our shareholders. Johnson is an Iowa native who graduated from Iowa State University. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
As Chief Credit Officer at WCF, Pete oversees the bank’s credit administration and focuses on growth. His philosophy: “Be conservative in the good times, be courageous in the bad times and always trust your gut.” He has worked in the agricultural-, commercial- and personal-lending field since 2007, serving in both community- and corporate-banking environments. However, his connection to agribusiness stretches back even farther: Pete was raised on a diversified crop and livestock family farm in Eastern Iowa, and continues to be involved to this day. He received a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and a master’s degree from Western Kentucky University. His hobbies include golfing, camping, walleye fishing and showing steers with his daughters.
Kelly has served within the banking industry for the past 26 years, performing all aspects of lending and managing banking functions. He currently serves WCF in a variety of roles, including senior vice president as well as market president and senior loan officer for Tama/Toledo operations. Kelly earned a bachelor’s degree in finance at Buena Vista University and a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin. He is a part of the Region 6 Housing Trust Board. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, hunting and doing just about anything outdoors.
Stephanie joined the WCF team in 2002 while attending Webster City High School. She has held many roles during her career, beginning in the Webster City office before moving to the Independence branch. Today she is part of the bank’s Executive team and serves as the Market President in Independence with responsibilities for the growth and oversight of that office. She also is the bank’s Compliance Officer, a lender, and is instrumental in the bank’s employee training efforts. Upon graduation from Webster City High School, Steph earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Buena Vista University, and later completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned additional certifications in Executive Leadership from the Wisconsin School of Business, as well as from the Iowa Bankers Association Compliance School. In 2021 Stephanie was honored as one of six recipients of the prestigious Bank Beat Magazine Outstanding Women in Banking. She and her husband live in Independence and are very involved in their children’s activities, and she serves as the Relay for Life Treasurer.
After 4½ years as an auditor and tax preparer for public accounting firms, Michelle continued her career in finances, bringing a total of 19 years of banking experience to WCF. Today, she serves as WCF’s controller. Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree from Simpson College and is a certified public accountant (CPA). She has two sons — both of whom graduated from the University of Iowa — and two dogs.
Joel joined the WCF Financial Bank team in March, 2022. His banking background includes 30 years of commercial lending experience, including the last 10 years with a community bank located 15 miles from Webster City. His role at WCF is to work with and support local businesses and farmers to help them grow and succeed. Joel grew up and graduated from high school in Fort Dodge. He majored in Finance at the University of Iowa and completed his Master’s Degree in Accounting at DePaul University in Chicago. His hobbies include pheasant hunting, cooking, and playing the drums.
With 6 years of insurance experience, 7 years in business and 15 years in banking under his belt, Brad is well-positioned to serve WCF’s clients as vice president of lending. A self-described straight talker, he is committed to making the lending process efficient and smooth. Brad earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and mathematics from Loras College. He pitched for men’s fastpitch softball for 20 years, including at the world tournament in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. When he’s not busy with work, you might find him in a duck blind or out fishing with his two beautiful children.
With an extensive background in customer service and 14 years of experience in banking, Ariel is equipped to help WCF’s customers in a wide variety of ways. She started her banking career as a proof operator and teller in high school, working her way up to customer service representative in college, where she earned an Associate degree in applied science and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. After serving as a branch manager for five years, she came to WCF as VP Retail & Marketing. Ariel volunteers on the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors. Her free time is spent crafting, and spending time outdoors with her high-school sweetheart and their three children.
Julie joined the bank as a teller in 1998. She has more than 23 years of experience in many aspects of banking with WCF. Even though the banking industry has changed over the years, the one thing that has not changed for Julie is her passion for helping others. She was born and raised in Webster City, where she resides with her husband, Dale. She has two grown sons, Nicholas and Brett. Julie belongs to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and serves her ministry in many ways. She enjoys running, biking, skiing, and spending quality time with family and friends.
William’s can-do mindset serves him well as a credit analyst with WCF. By fostering a thorough understanding of his customers’ businesses, he can proactively set a course to guide them to financial success. He earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics at Colorado State University and gained valuable experience as a commodity analyst at IHS Markit Agribusiness before joining the team at WCF. William enjoys gardening, skiing and fishing.
Sheila holds the honor of having served at WCF the longest— 42 years! She specializes in assisting customers with IRAs, CDs and wire transfers. She treasures the relationships she has formed at the Webster City branch. Sheila has been married for more than 30 years, the result of which are two children and one grandchild. She loves to go camping, riding with her husband on his motorcycle, reading, crocheting and quilting.
Cody grew up on a small ranching operation in South Dakota, fostering a passion for agriculture that endures to this day. He earned a degree in ag business from South Dakota State University — where he also was a member of the Rodeo Team! Cody loves working alongside farmers to make their agribusinesses stronger and values the trust they place in him. “This trust factor, along with the high-level customer service I hold myself to, is what helps me build long-time relationships with my clients,” he said.
With 13 years in banking and 10 years of loan processing under her belt, Jenn is well positioned to serve Tama customers. In addition to serving as a Mortgage Loan Processor, she assists in new accounts and teller duties — which means she can assist just about anyone who walks in the door! A graduate of Marshalltown Community College, Jenn also holds professional designations from Iowa Bankers Consumer Credit School and Iowa Bankers Lending Compliance School. She keeps connected to the community through a variety of organizations, such as Toledo Wieting Theater and South Tama Archery, and volunteers for a number of local organizations, including Kids’ Corner Daycare, Kids’ Corner Fundraising Committee and Tama-Toledo Chamber of Commerce.
With 19 years of banking experience and the ability to help in all areas of the bank, Lesa can help Tama area customers with most all their banking needs. Lesa’s role is Customer Service meaning one may find her opening a new account, closing a loan, or processing a deposit for customers. Lesa earned her bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from Buena Vista University and holds a professional designation from the Iowa Bankers Consumer and Compliance School. She is active in her community through volunteering at the Wieting Theater. Lesa enjoys shopping, boating, skiing, and being active with her family and friends.
Jill provides a variety of services to customers at WCF’s Independence branch: processing and funding loans, handling escrow accounts, assisting with new accounts, performing teller duties and providing a broad range of customer service. She is a graduate of Iowa Falls-Alden High School and La’ James International College of Cosmetology.
A lifelong customer service professional, Kayla serves as a loan processor at the Webster City branch, which serves the community where she was raised.
As Operations Supervisor at WCF, Emily puts helping customers first. She earned an Associate degree in business administration and management. When she, her husband and their dog Remi aren’t camping, they are at the races, spending time with family and friends.
An Eagle Grove High School graduate, Kya earned her Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Medication Administration certifications from Iowa Central Community College. Kya has worked in customer service her entire life. When she’s not helping her neighbors with their financial needs at WCF, you might find her playing the piano or demonstrating her skills as a Shotokan karate blackbelt.
A dedicated member of WCF’s Webster City team, Sandra has extensive customer service experience. She is a graduate of Lancaster California CMA and spends her spare time with her family.
Jeanine’s 20 years of customer-service experience is put to good use as a teller at WCF’s Webster City branch, where she helps customers with deposits, withdrawals, payments and online banking. Jeanine’s secret to success: she takes time to ensure all customer needs are met and all questions are answered. A Webster City native, she also attended Ellsworth Community College.
A newcomer to the WCF family, Chase joined the Webster City branch as a receptionist in 2021. He has prior experience working as a high school teacher associate in Eagle Grove. His favorite part of the job is being part of a great team and getting to know community members in Webster City.
