Requiring only $10 to open, and monthly direct deposits to build your account, you may save up to $6,000 for the 2023 holiday shopping season and earn interest at the same time.
2023 Club accounts will be earning a 2.00% Interest Rate compounded annually with a 2.00% APY*.
Direct Deposits may be made through:
Automatic transfers from another WCF Checking or Savings account.
Automatic transfers from a checking or savings account at another financial institution.
Payroll direct deposit.
You may make additional deposits at any point throughout the Club year to achieve your goal balance up to $6,000.
The Club Year begins on November 1 and runs through the third weekend of the following October at which point your Club funds will be automatically transferred into your designated WCF Checking or Savings account (a WCF Checking or Savings account is required to participate in the Christmas Club).

A dedicated member of WCF’s Webster City team, Sandra has extensive customer service experience. She is a graduate of Lancaster California CMA and spends her spare time with her family.
With 13 years in banking and 10 years of loan processing under her belt, Jenn is well positioned to serve Tama customers. In addition to serving as a Mortgage Loan Processor, she assists in new accounts and teller duties — which means she can assist just about anyone who walks in the door! A graduate of Marshalltown Community College, Jenn also holds professional designations from Iowa Bankers Consumer Credit School and Iowa Bankers Lending Compliance School. She keeps connected to the community through a variety of organizations, such as Toledo Wieting Theater and South Tama Archery, and volunteers for a number of local organizations, including Kids’ Corner Daycare, Kids’ Corner Fundraising Committee and Tama-Toledo Chamber of Commerce.
With 19 years of banking experience and the ability to help in all areas of the bank, Lesa can help Tama area customers with most all their banking needs. Lesa’s role is Customer Service meaning one may find her opening a new account, closing a loan, or processing a deposit for customers. Lesa earned her bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from Buena Vista University and holds a professional designation from the Iowa Bankers Consumer and Compliance School. Gwen joined the WCF family while completing her Business and Accounting degree at Buena Vista University. She fills a number of roles with WCF including helping customers with their banking transactions, opening new accounts, and assisting our loan officers. Gwen's upbeat and positive attitude makes the Tama office a welcoming place for customers and coworkers. When not at WCF you might find Gwen fishing, shopping, working out, or hanging out with her family.
Christmas Club FAQ
How much to I need to open a Christmas Club account?
A minimum of $10 opening deposit is required.
Do I need an existing WCF Financial Bank account to open a Christmas Club account?
Yes, you need an existing WCF Checking or Savings account. If you don't have one, we'd be happy to open either a Checking or Savings account for you in addition to your Christmas Club account.
Is there a deadline for opening a Christmas Club account?
No. The Club period runs from November 1 - the third weekend of the following October. The sooner you open your account, the more you can save!
Is there a limit to how much I may save?
The maximum automatic transfer is $500 per month with a total deposit limit of $6,000 for the Club period.
What if I want to make the monthly deposits myself?
While you are free to make extra monthly deposits via ACH or in person, a monthly scheduled automatic deposit is required.
Do I have to open a new Christmas Club account each year?
No, after the October distribution your account remains open. You will need to retain your scheduled automatic deposit although you are free to change the amount of your deposit or source of your deposit.
How do I get the money out of my Christmas Club account at the end of the Club period?
WCF makes it easy. During the third weekend of October, WCF will automatically transfer your fund to your designated WCF Checking or Savings account. Just in time for holiday shopping!
I need some cash. May I make an emergency transfer or withdrawal from my Christmas Club account?
No. Withdrawals and transfers from the Club account are not allowed during the Club period.
